Heshbon Nefesh- Inventory of the Soul

During the High Holy Days, there is a practice of taking a personal inventory, a heshbon nefesh in Hebrew. After all, how are we supposed to become better people or ask for forgiveness if we haven't taken a deep, hard look at how we have lived during the past year.

In this spirit, I am excited to announce that I will be leading a Writing as a Spiritual Practice workshop this coming Monday (9/24) from 7-7:45pm at Hillel's conference room (2020 W. University Ave.). We will start and end on time (I have another meeting I have to be at at 8pm!) so please come ready to begin. Prompts will be provided to help us reflect on the past year as well as how we want to live in the coming year. No writing experience necessary, but if you have a journal, feel free to bring it.

Looking forward to engaging in this holy work with you.
Blessings,
Rabbi Gail Swedroe
